Children of today are the future of the tomorrow. In today’s time it can be difficult to cope with the behaviour of the children that is challenging and constantly pushing the parents to the wall. Though raising children can be the most rewarding and fulfilling job in the world at the same time it can be the one for which many of us may not be well prepared.

All the children suffer from one or the other common illnesses. For the young parents this can be the cause of great anxiety.

In my last 35 yrs of practice majority of my patients have been children and I have seen homeopathy has immensely benefited them in every way and have made them more than capable to face the world.

Following are the most common disorders which can be treated with homeopathy:

  • All problems related to Dentition
  • Constipation
  • Abdominal colic
  • Worms
  • Recurrent cough and cold
  • Recurrent tonsillitis
  • Childhood asthma
  • Bedwetting
  • Poor appetite
  • Fever
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Skin dryness
  • Allergies

Behavioural disorders that can be treated with homeopathy:

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

  • Inattention – difficulty concentrating, forgetting instructions, moving from one task to another without completing anything.
  • Impulsivity – talking over the top of others, having a ‘short fuse’, being accident-prone.
  • Overactivity – constant restlessness and fidgeting.

If one starts homeopathic treatment before pregnancy the treatment can become a boom for the child where by the homeopathic medicines will prepare him/her  towards most of the hereditary problems and also make him strong and immune to most of the common ailments that the child faces in his life.

Homeopathy believes in individualize treatment, it takes into account the individual nature and characteristics of each individual child and prescribes treatment accordingly. It not only helps to  boost the immunity of the child in the most holistic and natural way but also regulates the natural balance and restores children back to their health , strength and potential in the most effective manner.

STRESS AND ANXIETY IN CHILDREN

In today’s competitive environment parents are fearful and feel insecure about the future of their children. Children are forced to attend schools at a very tender age, thereby depriving them of their childhood they are forced to attend different classes in a single day making them academically strong and weaker on natural and emotional development which in turn results in behavioral disorders in children. There is an alarming rise in stress levels in children compared to last few years as a result we see cases of children suffering from depression, anxiety, speech issues, insecurity, low self esteem etc. The pressure to perform well in exams has an underlying fear and anxiety whether he will be accepted by peers or not. This is the beginning of the ANXIETY phase for the child leading to mental makeup of the individual for the years to come. Every parent’s expectation in today’s world towards their children is extremely high and for some reason or the other if the child is unable to perform can lead to severe mental and emotional disturbances in child.

SUGGESTION FOR PARENTS

“Early to bed , early to rise makes a man healthy and wise” as the saying goes, in today’s fast changing scenario the above saying doesn’t hold good , working parents and absence of joint family has added fuel to the fire .the sleeping and eating  time for today’s generation has exceeded way beyond midnight . So the younger parents naturally take their children along wherever they go due to which the child develops the habit of sleeping late at night which in turn leads to many problems in development to the child for e.g.: late in rising up in morning , which leads to skipping of breakfast with only a glass of milk ,washroom habits gets changed due to insufficient time in morning and if there is an urge in school they ignore it out of embarrassment to use washroom leading to pain in abdomen, constipation and even colic. Cases of regular headaches in many children are seen due to lack of inadequate sleep.

  • Do not compare your child to any another child.
  • Give sufficient time to your children.
  • Avoid giving tablets, mobiles, laptops etc to your children.
  • Inculcate the habit of reading.
  • Make play time with your family .
  • Include physical activity in your daily routine.
